About New Mexico Court Docket

New Mexico court records sit across several connected systems. New Mexico Case Lookup provides a statewide public index, New Mexico courts set access rules, and the clerk at the court where a case was filed keeps its official register and papers. A statewide result can help identify the right court, but it is not the same as that court's complete file. This service organizes those routes so a reader can move from a case search to the local clerk or court resource that holds the record.

Why We Built This Site

New Mexico makes public case information available through more than one court channel, and those channels serve different purposes. New Mexico Case Lookup can locate a case by name or number, while the courts' access rules govern what may be inspected. The clerk at the court where the matter began maintains the official register and case file. A statewide search can point to that matter, but it does not replace the local docket or issue certified copies. The county directory links to the right local court site among the state's 33 counties.

What You Will Find Here

  • New Mexico court structure: a plain-language overview of the court system and which level keeps each case
  • Case search: steps for using the statewide portal by party name or case number
  • Criminal and civil dockets: how criminal and civil registers are organized
  • Hearing dates: ways to review a court calendar and confirm a setting with the court
  • Official records: where to ask for court records, filed papers, or a certified copy
  • County routing: use the county directory to reach a local court docket site

What We Cannot Do

New Mexico Court Docket is a privately operated reference service, not part of a New Mexico court, clerk's office, or state agency. Its role is limited. It cannot:

  • Set, confirm, or change a hearing date
  • Provide legal advice about a particular case or filing
  • Issue a certified docket, court order, or filed document
  • Alter, seal, or remove a court case
  • Retrieve an official case file for a visitor
  • Guarantee every court fee, contact detail, or schedule remains current

The clerk or court holding a New Mexico case is the source for its official docket and certified copies. A directory can identify that office, but the court must provide the record.

Search Partners

Search boxes on some pages are operated by outside providers. Each provider runs its own service and sets its own prices. If a visitor follows a tool to a paid registration, this service may receive a referral fee. We do not set the provider's charges or control the information returned by its search.
